Motorcyclist Dead in Traffic Accident on 65th Street West

LANCASTER, CA (August 5, 2022) – On Monday, police responded to a motorcycle crash on Avenue J that killed one person.

The accident happened at Avenue J and 65th Street West on August 1st, around 10:38 p.m., per initial reports.

Furthermore, police said the involved Honda failed to yield at a stop sign and crashed into the motorcyclist.

Moreover, the motorcyclist suffered injuries and was transported to a nearby trauma center.

Despite life-saving efforts, the motorcyclist was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the identity of the motorcyclist and the Honda driver have not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.

It is not yet known if speed, alcohol, or drugs played a role in the crash.

Any witnesses who have information about the crash are encouraged to report to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station at 661-948-8466.
