One Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Accident near Thomas Road

PHOENIX, AZ (May 1, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, one victim was pronounced dead after a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on Interstate 17. Dispatchers responded to the scene just before 4:00 a.m., near Thomas Road. At this time, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear. However, reports indicate that first responders located an unconscious victim lying on the highway. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
