Hit-and-Run at McKee Road Ended with Fatality

SAN JOSE, CA (July 29, 2021) – An unidentified person died Saturday morning after a hit-and-run at McKee Road in San Jose.

At around 2:30 a.m. July 17, the incident occurred on McKee Road and 33rd Street.

According to police, a black 2015 Infiniti sedan was speeding north on 33rd Street when it ran a red light at McKee Road and collided with a black 2007 Honda sedan speeding east on McKee.

As a result of the crash, the driver of the Honda was ejected from the vehicle and died on the scene.

Following the collision, the Infiniti driver reportedly fled on foot and is still at large.

Authorities withheld the identity of the deceased victim pending notification of kin.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Detective O’Brien #3527 of the San José Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit at 408-277-4654.

The San Jose Police Department is investigating the crash. Once available, more information will be released.
