Suspect at Large after Fatal Hit-and-Run Collision near Nordhoff Street

NORTH HILLS, CA (October 7, 2021) – Police are looking for the driver and passenger involved in a hit-and-run crash on Hayvenhurst Avenue.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Hayvenhurst Avenue and Nordhoff Street around 5:20 a.m., on Tuesday.

According to reports, a black 2016 Range Rover ran a red light and crashed with an eastbound 2018 Toyota Camry.

After the initial crash, the Rover collided with a gray Honda Civic and a white Toyota Tacoma on westbound Nordhoff.

Due to the impact of the crash, the Range Rover to continue north of Nordhoff Street before coming to a stop in the center.

Officers on the scene pronounced the driver of the gray Honda, identified as a 56-year-old woman dead. Meanwhile, medics transported her male passenger to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

In addition, medics treated the driver of the white Toyota Camry at the scene. The driver of the white Toyota Tacoma, on the other hand, was not injured in the accident, per the CHP.

Police described the driver of the Rover as a male 5’8 to 5’11 inches tall, about 160-170 pounds, and last seen wearing a blue jacket, blue pants, black shoes, and a white cap.

CHP also described the passenger as a male, between 5′ 11 to 6′ tall, weighing 190-200 pounds also last seen wearing a dark track jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.
