Traffic Accident on Cannon Road Left One Fatality

FAIRFIELD, CA (June 22, 2022) – A head-on crash on Vanden Road claimed the life of one person, Monday evening.

The collision happened in the area of Vanden Road between the Leisure Town Road traffic circle and Cannon Road, between Vacaville and Fairfield.

Preliminary investigations said that a driver failed to stay on track and crossed a double yellow line, crashing head-on into a car carrier.

Eventually, first responders arrived and declared the unidentified driver died at the scene.

Meanwhile, traffic lanes on Vanden, between Cannon and Leisure Town, were blocked for several hours to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
