73-Year-Old Male Victim Killed in Fatal Collision in South Beacon Hill

SEATTLE, WA (October 25, 2021)  A 73-year-old man died Thursday afternoon following a fifth-wheel trailer accident on 36th Avenue.

The fatal crash happened around 2:30 p.m., on 36th Avenue in South Beacon Hill. Emergency dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after.

According to police, a driver attempted to park a fifth-wheel trailer on his property, when he struck a fence. However, the driver failed to notice a 73-year-old man trapped between the trailer and the fence.

As a result, the male victim suffered life-threatening injuries.

Medics arrived and attempted to save the 73-year-old man’s life, but he died at the scene.

At this time, investigators said there was no evidence of impairment. Also, the police withheld the name of the victim until next kin is notified.

Seattle Police continue to investigate the main cause of the crash.
