Victim Pronounced Dead after Fatal Auto Collision near Cisco Grove
CISCO GROVE, CA (January 6, 2022) – One unidentified person died following a fatal car accident on Interstate 80, Wednesday night.
The accident took place in the westbound lanes of I-80 just before 6:00 p.m., on December 15. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
According to California Highway Patrol, the driver of a vehicle crashed into a Caltrans automobile under unclear circumstances.
Responding emergency crews declared one person dead at the scene. Although, police did not release their identity pending notification of kin.
Furthermore, authorities closed the surrounding area for a few hours during cleanup before it was later reopened.
At this time, authorities continue to investigate the crash and will provide further information once available.
