Traffic Accident near Bay Bridge Left 4 Injured, One Dead

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (June 22, 2022) – A 22-year-old Antioch man died and several people sustained injuries after a DUI crash on Highway 80.

The accident happened around 3:00 a.m. Sunday on the westbound Interstate Highway 80 on the Bay Bridge just west of Treasure Island.

According to the reports, a 2014 Nissan Frontier pickup truck rear-ended a 2007 Infiniti M45 sedan that slowed down due to possible mechanical problems.

Furthermore the first responders located one man, a passenger of the Infiniti, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, two other passengers sustained minor to serious injuries.

Paramedics rushed all injured passengers and the Infiniti driver, a 22-year-old San Francisco woman, to local hospitals for treatment.

Authorities eventually arrested the female driver of the Infiniti on suspicion of driving under the influence.

However, San Francisco Officials have not released the names of any of the parties involved as police continue to investigate the fatal crash.
