Man in His 40s Dies in Fatal Collision near Douglas Boulevard

ROSEVILLE, CA (March 11, 2021) – Wednesday morning, one man was killed in a deadly 3-vehicle accident on Interstate 80, near Douglas Boulevard.

First responders received reports about the crash around 5:30 a.m, on the westbound lanes. Emergency crews arrived shortly after.

According to reports, two cars were heading west near Douglas Boulevard when they collided into each other. The impact caused the vehicles to spin out, and they eventually struck a third car.

Two of the drivers avoided injury. However, one driver who was described as a man in his 40s suffered life-threatening injuries and died on scene.

At this time, authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved. However, an active investigation to determine further details remains ongoing.

The 3-vehicle accident caused major traffic delays on westbound I-80 for nearly two hours. Although, the scene was later cleared around 7:30 a.m.
