Three-Vehicle Crash near Route 125 Left One Fatality

LEMON GROVE, CA (July 20, 2022) – On Monday, police responded to a car accident on Route 94 where one person died early Monday morning.

The crash happened on July 18th, at around 2:30 a.m. near Route 125, when a BMW crashed into a Mercedes sedan, according to a witness.

Consequently, it was reported that one individual exited their vehicle after the crash and was struck by a third vehicle.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced the unidentified person dead at the scene. Furthermore police arrested one driver under suspicion of DUI.

Meanwhile, eastbound lanes on No. 01 and 02 lanes were blocked for cleaning and preliminary duties. Lemon Grove officials have not released the identities of any of the involved parties at this time.

An active investigation into the crash is currently underway.
