One Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Accident near Hilo Street

FREMONT, CA (May 3, 2023) – Friday night, one victim was killed and another was injured in a hit-and-run motorcycle collision on Blacow Road. Police responded to the scene around 8:19 a.m., near Hilo Street. At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, reports indicate that the driver of a vehicle struck a motorcyclist and immediately fled the scene. First responders located two victims lying on the roadway. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced one person dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the other person to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Following preliminary duties, witnesses helped police locate the hit-and-run suspect near Grimmer Boulevard and Blacow Road. Authorities arrested the driver, although, their name has not been disclosed.
