One Dead, 4 Injured after Car Collision near Ford Street

REDLANDS, CA (July 1, 2022) – Sunday evening, one victim was killed and four were injured in a single-car accident on 10 Freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 7:50 p.m., in the westbound lanes near Ford Street.

Furthermore, police said a 2002 Toyota passed the Ford Street off-ramp and blew its left rear tire. Consequently, the Toyota veered across the freeway and struck a curb, sending it to tumble down the embankment.

Upon impact, the 30-year-old male passenger was ejected from the vehicle onto the road. Due to the extent of his condition, medics pronounced the man from Mexico dead at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Meanwhile, four other people suffered minor to moderate injuries. At this time, authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.

Redlands Officials are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the deadly crash.
