Interstate 84 Head-On Collision Left 1 Person Killed and 4 Others Injured

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 8, 2021) A fatal head-on crash on Interstate 84 in San Francisco left one person dead and 4 other people injured, according to the CHP.

The collision took place shortly after 6 A.M. at I-84 east of Interstate 680, where a white Chevy Tahoe struck a black Dodge Charger.

As a result, both driver and three passengers inside the Dodge received serious injuries and were sent to a hospital.

Unfortunately one passenger, an unidentified minor, succumbed to their injuries and died at the hospital.

At this time, the circumstances behind the crash remain unclear.

Ultimately, San Francisco Officials closed down two sections of Interstate 84 for at least three hours before reopening.

Authorities are currently investigating the deadly head-on crash.
