One Pronounced Dead after 2-Car Accident near French Camp Road

STOCKTON, CA (August 23, 2023) – Sunday morning, one victim was killed and three were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 99. Authorities responded to the scene around 9:07 a.m., on the northbound lanes of the freeway near French Camp Road. For reasons under investigation, the driver of a Honda Accord struck a Ford-F150. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the driver of the Honda dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported three of the four occupants of the Ford to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The fourth passenger was unharmed. At this time, the identities of those involved in the fatal Highway 99 collision have not been made public. Investigators are still working to determine if alcohol and drugs contributed to the incident.
