Fatal Multi-Car Collision Involving FedEx Truck in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ (August 26, 2021) – Monday afternoon on August 9, one person was killed and two were injured in a three-vehicle fiery crash on 35th Avenue.

The incident took place around 4:40 p.m., at 35th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road, as stated by the report.

According to Phoenix fire authorities, a 40-year-old man was driving a pickup-truck at high rates of speed when he crashed into the rear of a FedEx truck at a red light.

In addition, the crash pushed both vehicles into the middle of the intersection, where they collided with a semi-truck. All three vehicle then bursted into flames.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced one driver dead at the scene.  Moreover, both the pickup truck and semi-truck driver were transported to the hospital.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further details remains ongoing.

Once available, more information will be released about the fiery crash on 35th Avenue.
