1 Dead, 2 Hurt after Car Crash on 10 Freeway in Pomona

POMONA, CA (July 6, 2021) – One person died and two people sustained injuries Friday afternoon in a multi-vehicle accident on 10 Freeway.

The crash happened around 2:50 p.m. July 2, on the eastbound 10 Freeway just before the 57 Freeway.

Several vehicles collided on the freeway under unknown circumstances, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to reports, paramedics rushed two people with injuries to the hospital for further treatment.

Additionally, one person died at the scene. Although, authorities withheld their identity pending notification of kin.

Furthermore, authorities closed the carpool lane and two left lanes of the 10 Freeway for more than an hour while they investigated the crash. But, the road has since reopened.

Officers will release additional information about the multi-vehicle accident on 10 Freeway once it becomes available.
