One Dead, One Hospitalized after Solo-Vehicle Collision near 215 Freeway

SAN BERNARDINO, CA (February 9, 2022) – Sunday morning, one person died and another was injured after a solo car crash on 10 Freeway.

The accident happened around 2:00 a.m., on January 30th. Crews responded to the scene in the westbound lanes of the freeway, near northbound 215 Freeway.

Upon arrival, officers located a black Toyota Scion on its roof at the bottom of an embankment below the connector of the freeways.

According to California Highway Patrol, the impact ejected one person from their vehicle onto a bike path along the Santa Ana River. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics declared that occupant dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, medics located another person in the car and rushed them to Loma Linda Hospital. At this time, officials have not released the names of both parties involved.

San Bernardino authorities are still currently investigating the fatal car crash on 10 Freeway. Once available, further details will be provided.
