One Dead, One Seriously Hurt in Deadly Crash near San Diego Street
SPRING VALLEY, CA (September 7, 2021) – Monday night, one person was killed and another was injured in a fatal collision on Jamacha Boulevard.
The crash took place around 9:30 p.m., on Jamacha Boulevard, near San Diego Street. Officers arrived to the scene shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
According to the authorities, a 53-year-old man was driving a 2010 Nissan Versa west on Jamacha Boulevard. There, the driver struck a 2018 Toyota Corolla heading east.
The Toyota then spun out and collided with a 1994 Honda Accord parked in front of a house on Jamacha Boulevard near Omega Street.
As a result of the impact, the Nissan to spun out of control, consequently ejecting the driver. The Nissan driver was killed on the spot, and his identity has not been revealed.
The 62-year-old male driver of the Toyota sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
At this time, it is unclear whether or not alcohol or drugs contributed to the fatal collision on Jamacha Boulevard.
In addition, the CHP blocked a section of Jamacha Boulevard for four hours as they investigated the accident. But, the road has since reopened.
