Arcadia DUI Driver Leaves One Fatality

ARCADIA, CA (August 12, 2021) Authorities are investigating a DUI crash in Arcadia last Friday that took the life of one driver and injured one passenger.

The incident happened around 10:50 p.m. on August 6 at the intersection of Baldwin Avenue and Las Tunas Drive.

Unfortunately, authorities pronounced the driver dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, medical personnel transported the injured passenger to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena.

However, the occupants of the second vehicle remained unharmed but were suspected to be intoxicated, according to the police.

Later on, investigators learned that the DUI driver travelled east on Las Tunas Drive at a high rate of speed.

As a result, the suspect lost control of the vehicle and collided head-on with the victim’s vehicle after crossing over the raised median divider.
