22-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Car Accident near Metcalf Road

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA (December 5, 2022) – Saturday, one victim was killed and another was hurt in a speeding collision on San Felipe Road.

The incident occurred around 3:40 p.m., near Metcalf Road on November 26th. First responders arrived to the scene shortly after.

According to reports, the driver of a 2023 Tesla was speeding and eventually crashed into two trees before coming to a stop near the road.

Upon impact, the 22-year-old driver was ejected from the vehicle onto the road. Meanwhile, the passenger managed to escape on his own.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their name or place of residency.

Medics also transported the 24-year-old passenger to a nearby hospital for further treatment of unspecified injuries.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information about the speeding collision on San Felipe Road is still currently underway.
