Madera County Crash Involving a Big-Rig Resulted to One Fatality

MADERA, CA (August 10, 2021) – A fiery crash in Madera County involving a big-rig left one person killed and another injured last Thursday.

The incident occurred just before 8:30 P.M. near Avenue 6 and Highway 145, according to the police.

Investigators claimed that an eastbound minivan ran past a posted stop sign on Avenue 6 and collided with a southbound big-rig on Highway 145.

As a result, the minivan caught on fire due to the impact, killing the driver on the scene.

However, paramedics are able to airlift one passenger in the front seat to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Meanwhile, the truck driver only complained about come minor pain after the crash.

At this time, the Madera County Officials are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the big-rig crash.
