Woman Killed Following Auto-Pedestrian Crash at Union Avenue near 7th Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 20, 2023) – Sunday night, an unidentified woman died after an auto-pedestrian accident at Union Avenue. The accident happened around 11:06 p.m. on June 4th, at Union Avenue near 7th Street. According to reports, the two pedestrians crossed Union Avenue roadway from the center median, outside of a crosswalk, and straight into the path of a northbound car. Responding officers arrived and transported the man who suffered significant injuries to a local hospital, while the woman died on the spot. The driver of the vehicle, who showed no signs of impairment, remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. At this time, an active investigation of the deadly accident at Union Avenue remains ongoing.
