Cyclist Hurt in Hit-and-Run Accident near Fountain Way
FRESNO, CA (October 28, 2022) – Sunday night, one victim sustained injuries in a hit-and-run bicycle collision on Palm Avenue.
Fresno Police responded to the scene around 11:30 p.m., near Fountain Way on October 16th after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle struck a bicyclist in the area. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the severely injured victim.
Medical personnel arrived and transported the cyclist to a nearby hospital for further treatment in serious condition. Although, authorities have not yet released their name or place of residency.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.
At this time, an active investigation into the bicycle collision on Palm Avenue is still currently underway. Once available, more information will be provided to the public.
