Injury Reported after Cement-Truck Accident near 42nd Street

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA (November 21, 2022) – Late Wednesday morning, one victim sustained injuries in a cement-truck crash on Ocean Drive.

The incident happened around 10:50 a.m., at the 4200 block of Ocean Drive near 42nd Street.

Video footage shows the cement-truck partially inside a residential building while its cargo laid on its side. However, further events leading up to the collision remain unclear.

Furthermore, one person was injured in the accident and was treated. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity. Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.

Moreover, multiple tow-trucks were dispatched to remove the cement truck from the scene. No other information was released by the authorities and further investigation into the cement-truck crash on Ocean Drive is still underway.

Like other truck accidents, unsecured cargo and lost load can cause a can cause death, serious injury and/or property damage. While it is the truck driver’s duty to inspect the load to ensure it is adequately secured and safe to travel, the trucking company also has to make sure that safety procedures are followed to prevent accidents.
