Hit-and-Run on Merle Haggard Drive Left Rider Injured

BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 5, 2022) – Sunday morning, a rider sustained injuries in a motorcycle hit-and-run on Merle Haggard Drive.

The accident happened around 10:25 a.m., along the intersection of Merle Haggard and Airport Drive.

California Highway Patrol arrived and located two motorcycles down on the road. Reports indicate that one of the riders suffered injuries.

At this time, officials have no information regarding the current condition of the riders. In addition, police suspected the crash is a hit-and-run collision. Authorities blocked off the area for several hours for clearing.

Bakersfield police continue to ask anyone who witness the collision to reach them at their local offices.

Officials are still currently investigating the crash on Merle Haggard Drive.
