1 Hospitalized after a Road Rage Crash on Yorkshire Avenue

SANTA MONICA, CA (September 9, 2021) – At least one person sustained injuries in a possible road rage incident that resulted in a vehicle crash on Yorkshire Avenue on Monday.

Around 1:20 p.m., the incident occurred near Yorkshire Avenue and Pico Boulevard.

Santa Monica police responded to the scene after receiving reports of a road rage incident and a car collision in which shots were fired, leaving one person with a graze wound.

Responding medics transported one person to a nearby hospital for treatment of a graze wound to the knee.

Meanwhile, authorities stated that the suspect fled the scene following the incident.

Police described the suspect as a white man in his 20s, about 6′ 1 tall, with a thin build, tattoos on the right side of his face, and wearing a blue-and-white long-sleeve sweater, gray or tan pants, and white shoes.

According to CHP, the suspect vehicle is a newer model black Mercedes-Benz four-door sedan.
