One Injured in Pedestrian Collision near Myrtle Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (July 17, 2023) – One victim was hospitalized Sunday morning, after a pedestrian accident on U.S. 60. Authorities responded to the scene around 1:50 a.m., near the intersection of Grand and Myrtle Avenue. Officers say the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the area for reasons under investigation. Upon impact, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital for further treatment of unspecified injuries. Although, police have not yet released their identity. Emergency crews closed off the westbound lanes from 59th to 67th Avenue during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided.
