Highway 99 Multi-Vehicle Collision Left One Person Seriously Injured

SACRAMENTO, CA (October 20, 2021) On Monday, a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 99 left one person seriously hurt, police said.

Officers responded to the scene around 4 a.m. near Fruitridge Road and Franklin Boulevard.

Upon arrival, the officers discovered four vehicles involved and for reasons unknown, one of the individuals fled from the scene.

In addition, one person sustained major injuries.

Both directions of the roadway were shutdown for cleanup, but have since reopened.

At this time, Sacramento officials are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the multi-vehicle collision on Highway 99.
