Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Pacific Coast Highway

MALIBU, CA (September 9, 2021) One man lost his life Monday evening after a deadly pedestrian crash on Pacific Coast Highway.

The crash happened at 8:38 p.m. Monday at Pacific Coast Highway and the Cross Creek Road intersection.

According to Sgt. Chris Soderlund of the Malibu-Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station, a vehicle hit and killed a man on the road, under unknown circumstances.

Responding officers declared the pedestrian dead at the scene.

On the other hand, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

In addition, officers closed the westbound lanes in the area were for the investigation but has reopened around 12 a.m.

Moreover, the identity of involved parties, as well as the victim, have not yet been released to the public.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is underway.
