Auto-Pedestrian Crash near Las Vegas Boulevard Left One Dead

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 12, 2022) – One individual died Thursday evening after a pedestrian accident on Washington Avenue.

The crash took place at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard around 6:00 p.m. on December 1st.

According to the State Patrol, the individual was struck by a vehicle while walking outside a marked crosswalk.

First responders arrived and rushed the pedestrian to a nearby hospital where they were later pronounced dead. Officials have not yet released the identity of the victim at this time.

Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. A large portion of the roadway was briefly closed down to allow for cleanup, but has since been opened.

Circumstances surrounding the fatal pedestrian accident on Washington Avenue are under active investigation. Once available, more details will be provided.
