One Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near 7th Street

RENO, NV (April 27, 2023) – Monday night, one victim was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Sierra Highlands Drive. The incident happened on March 27th, around 8:30 p.m. near Sierra Highlands Drive. According to reports, a pedestrian was crossing at the crosswalk of W. 7th Street near Sierra Highlands. There, the individual was struck by a pickup truck. The collision left the pedestrian with serious injuries. Emergency crews arrived at the site of the collision shortly after and transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital but were declared dead upon arrival. Meanwhile, the driver of the truck remained at the scene and police said that he showed no signs of impairment. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released at this time. Following the pedestrian crash, crews closed down the area around the accident for cleanup and preliminary duties.
