Pedestrian Killed in Deadly Crash near Spencer Avenue

SAUSALITO, CA (October 3, 2022) – Tuesday morning, one victim was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Highway 101.

The collision happened around 4:30 a.m., on the southbound lanes of the freeway near Spencer Avenue.

According to reports, the driver of a Dodge caravan was heading south and struck the pedestrian. Although, authorities are unsure as to why the pedestrian was standing in the road at the time.

Due to the impact of the crash, responding officers declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. The name of the victim is currently withheld until their family is notified.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Meanwhile, police said the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still currently underway. Once available, more information will be released about the pedestrian accident on Highway 101.
