One Victim Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Tully Road

SAN JOSE, CA (July 11, 2023) – Late Saturday night, one victim was pronounced dead after a pedestrian accident on Highway 101. The incident happened around 11:37 p.m., on the northbound lanes of Highway 101 near Tully Road. Dispatchers arrived shortly after receiving multiple calls in the area. First responders located a pedestrian down on the road who appeared to have been hit by a vehicle. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the 36-year-old male pedestrian dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased man. Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
