Rider Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision on Nona Way

SACRAMENTO, CA (May 3, 2023) – Thursday morning, a rider was killed in a motorcycle crash on Fruitridge Road. Dispatchers arrived to the scene around 7:00 a.m., near Nona Way on April 27th after receiving multiple calls in the area. Per reports, the driver of an eastbound vehicle made a left turn onto Fruitridge and struck a male motorcyclist. Upon impact, the rider who was not wearing a helmet was ejected onto the road and landed 20 feet away. Paramedics arrived and transported him to a nearby hospital where he later died. Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Following preliminary duties, officers determined that alcohol or drugs were not a factor. At this time, the motorcycle crash is still under investigation and any witnesses are encouraged to contact authorities.
