One Killed in Big-Rig Collision near 67th Avenue

GLENDALE, AZ (November 15, 2022) – Thursday afternoon, one victim died in a semi-truck accident on Loop 101, police said. Dispatchers responded to the scene around 4:00 p.m., on the westbound lanes of the freeway near 67th Avenue on November 10th. Initial investigation showed that a truck, a semi-truck, and two other vehicles were involved in the collision. Furthermore, one person was extricated from a vehicle at the scene. Emergency responders transported at least two people to a nearby hospital. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, one of the injured victims later succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. Meanwhile, the westbound lanes of Loop 101 were blocked for two hours to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. However, they have since been reopened. The events leading up to the accident are still under investigation.
