Two-Car Collision near Q Street Left One Dead, One Injured

BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 10, 2021) – Sunday, one person died and another sustained injuries in a car crash on Golden State Avenue.

The collision, which included a pickup truck and an SUV, occurred shortly after 12:45 p.m., near the intersection of Golden State Avenue and Q Street.

According to authorities, a preliminary investigation revealed that the SUV broadsided the pickup truck. Officers found a passenger in the pickup with serious injuries, while the driver sustained moderate injuries.

Paramedics rushed both victims to a hospital for treatment, but the passenger succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

Meanwhile, the SUV’s driver remained unharmed and remained at the site to cooperate with the police.

Additionally, authorities withheld the identity of the deceased victim until their next of kin is contacted.
