Fatal Pedestrian Crash at Interstate 5 near Pacific Highway

SAN DIEGO, CA (November 23, 2021) – One unidentified individual tragically died Thursday night following a pedestrian crash at Interstate 5.

The accident happened around 8:45 p.m. November 18, along I-5 near Pacific Highway.

As per reports, a passing vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian crossing in the area, for still unknown reasons.

Police have not released further information about the driver or the fatal victim.

Furthermore, officials closed off the southbound lanes while cleaning up and investigations.

At this time, San Diego police said it is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, an active investigation is underway.
