One Pronounced Dead after Plane Collision near Fallbrook Airpark

FALLBROOK, CA (August 1, 2022) -Saturday afternoon, a plane crash on Olive Hill Road claimed the life of Howard Henry Rose and injured another.

The incident occurred in a flowerbed of Altman Plants on 2575 Olive Hill Road at 1:40 p.m., on July 23rd. According to the California Highway Patrol, a T-28B type of plane, occupied by two men, crashed under unknown circumstances.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and treated the victims. Due to the extent of his condition, responding officers pronounced 77-year-old Rose dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics rushed the pilot to a local hospital in serious condition.

At this time, officials have not released the name of the pilot, pending notification of next of kin. Authorities have also not released any other additional information about the crash. However, the cause of the accident and the factors involved are still being investigated.
