Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision on Foothill Boulevard; Suspect Arrested

OAKLAND, CA (October 29, 2021) – One person was killed in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Miller Avenue, Monday morning.

Officers responded to the scene around 8:26 a.m., at the 2300 block of Miller Avenue. Per reports, a vehicle struck a pedestrian and fled the scene.

Upon arrival, police located the pedestrian on the road with traumatic injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, the 39-year-old woman was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Eventually, authorities located the suspect’s vehicle around 9:30 a.m. As a result, the suspect driver was arrested for felony hit-and-run.

Oakland Officials are encouraging anyone with information about the hit-and-run on Miller Avenue to contact the Police Department’s Homicide section at (510) 238-3821.

At this time, no further details have been provided about the hit-and-run crash on Miller Avenue.
