Fatal Collision on Interstate 805 Ends with Fatality

SAN DIEGO, CA (August 19, 2021) – A 40-year-old driver lost his life Wednesday following a fatal collision on Interstate 805 in San Diego.

California Highway Patrol arrived on Interstate 805 and State Route 94 upon receiving reports of a car accident in the area.

As per reports, the driver of a gold Ford Explorer was heading westbound on SR-94 transitioning onto I-805 when the driver veered off the roadway for still unknown reasons.

Due to the impact of the crash, the car flipped and the driver was ejected from the vehicle.

Despite efforts to save his life, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, officials state that no other injuries have been reported.

Furthermore, officials closed the area for cleanup and investigation.

According to officials, a toxicology report is being requested to determine whether alcohol or drugs were a factor. However the fatal collision is still being investigated.
