DUI Wrong-Way Collision on Interstate 8 Kills One Driver

SAN DIEGO, CA (October 4, 2021) One driver died tragically Sunday morning following a DUI wrong-way collision on Interstate 8 in San Diego.

The accident happened just around 2:20 a.m. September 26, on I-8 west near Hotel Circle, east of Interstate 5.

According to reports, a motorist in a black BMW suspected of driving under the influence collided with a driver in a silver Honda Accord.

Due to the impact of the crash, the Honda driver sustained serious injuries and died shortly after the collision. Officials withheld the victim’s identity at this time.

Meanwhile, the BMW driver sustained non-life threatening injuries and suspected to survive as per the officers.
