Car Crash on Interstate 405 Left One Dead, Two Hospitalized

IRVINE, CA (December 27, 2021) – On Thursday, one person died and two others sustained injuries after a fiery crash on Interstate 405.

The tragic accident happened around 1:00 p.m. on December 9th, on Interstate 405 near Irvine Center Drive.

As per CHP, due to rainy weather and high rate of speed, the driver lost control of the car and crashed into the center median.

After the impact, the car caught on fire, instantly killing the driver.

Meanwhile, medics found 2 more persons seriously injured from the crash and took them to nearby trauma centers in critical condition.

At this time, officials withheld the names of all parties involved.

Officials also continue to investigate the fatal crash, and will release updates once available.
