Fatal Truck Accident on 13th Avenue Sends 1 to Hospital

LYNNWOOD, WA (August 10, 2021) – A fatal truck accident on 13th Avenue in Lynnwood injured one person and killed another on Tuesday morning.

The accident happened shortly before 1:40 a.m. On the 3rd of August, in the 16900 block of 13th Avenue West.

Deputies responded and discovered two victims, both 20-year-old men. They believe the two men were part of a group of five young adults riding bicycles, scooters, and skateboards when a pickup truck struck them under unknown circumstances.

Responding medics took one of the men to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, where he died from his injuries.

While the other was taken to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center. There is no additional information about his condition.

On the other hand, the driver, a 64-year-old woman, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.

Lynnwood Police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
