Female Driver Pronounced Dead after Rear-End Collision near Road 182

TULARE, CA (November 9, 2022) Late Friday night, a woman was killed and another occupant was injured in a three-car crash on Highway 198.

Dispatchers received calls in the area just before 11:00 p.m., near Road 182 on November 4th.

An initial report showed that a female driver rear-ended a Subaru forester and veered into the center median, causing another collision with a Ford Fusion.

Furthermore, the female driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford sustained injuries and was taken to Kaweah Health Medical Center for further treatment. The driver of the Subaru did not suffer any wounds.

At this time, it is not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the deadly three-car crash, and Highway 198 was blocked in both lanes for investigation and clearing duties.

Moreover, the identity of the woman was not yet determined. Further investigations are still underway.
