Traffic Accident on Little Tujunga Canyon Road Left 2 Hurt
SANTA CLARITA, CA (July 19, 2022) – On Wednesday, a two-vehicle crash at Sand Canyon Road left at least two people with injuries.
The accident happened around 11:05 p.m. at Sand Canyon Road and Little Tujunga Canyon Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, they responded to a report of two vehicles involved in a crash.
Eventually, authorities arrived and found a Hyundai Sonata that went 200 meters down an embankment on the side of the road.
Meanwhile, a silver Volkswagen was found overturned on the side of the road.
Responding crews extricated two men from the Hyundai. Paramedics then airlifted one and transported another via land ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment.
At this time, officials have not released the name of all parties involved. It is also unknown if alcohol or medications played a role in the crash.
Santa Clarita police are investigating the collision and will release updates once available.
