Two 19-Year-Olds Fatally Injured in Head-On Collision near Castle Hot Springs Road

PEORIA, AZ (April 25, 2024)Nivesh Mukka and Goutham Parsi died Saturday night in a head-on crash on State Route 74. Police officers responded to the scene around 6:15 p.m., near Castle Hot Springs Road on April 20th.
Officials reported that a northbound red Ford F-150 pickup-truck collided head-on with a southbound white Kia Forte sedan. Medical responders arrived to find two passengers inside the Kia Forte, identified as 19-year-old Mukka and 19-year-old Parsi, both from India and enrolled as international students at Arizona State University. They were pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the lone occupant of the truck sustained serious injuries, though their identity has not been disclosed by police. The cause of the head-on collision on SR-74 remains under investigation, with authorities yet to confirm whether speed or impairment were factors in the crash.
