Two Men Pronounced Dead after Solo-Vehicle Accident near Karen Lane

JURUPA VALLEY, CA (April 16, 2024)Mauricio Juarez and Guillermo Morales died on Monday, in a single-vehicle collision on Sierra Avenue. Witnesses noticed what appeared to be an abandoned vehicle in a wooded area around 3:15 p.m. Dispatchers promptly responded to the location. Upon initial examination, the car displayed damage consistent with a collision. Upon arrival, investigators concluded that the vehicle had veered off course and collided into a shallow ravine near the Oak Quarry Golf Club. Responding authorities pronounced the two occupants of the vehicle deceased at the scene. The coroner’s bureau later identified the victims as 41-year-old Guillermo Morales and 38-year-old Mauricio Juarez, both originally from Fontana. The surrounding area was temporarily closed off by emergency personnel for cleanup and initial investigative procedures. Presently, the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team is leading the investigation.
