When it comes to Coachella, what's better: 103-degree temperatures or a drizzly, windy, muddy polo field?

The latter is what many festival-goers might be facing this Friday: The forecast is a high of 69-degrees with a 50 percent chance of rain.

As our sister blog The Informer reported yesterday, while any rain likely wouldn't amount to much, it would still be an anomaly; Coachella has never once been rained on since it began in 1999.

So, since bikini tops and barely-there shorts were previously the norm,  what's a gal to do?

For help we consulted Jennifer Daking, Silverlake-based co-founder and designer of clothing label All-Mighty, and the members of the Silver Lake Chorus. Here are their top five suggestions for looking cute.

5. Colorful Raincoats, Ponchos and Jelly Footwear

"Phones die, and you need to find your friends, so before everyone ends up in garbage bags, or the same disposable poncho, wear something that will make you visible!," says Daking. A clear raincoat will also protect you from the elements and still let you show off your outfit.

4. Skirts and Dresses

"Pants get wet and can stick to your body in unflattering ways," says Rader. "So if you wear a short skirt or dress with really cute tights--American Apparel makes a great tight in all sorts of vibrant colors--it'll look great in the rain."

While pants may seem to be the logical rainy day go-to, they also tend to weigh you down and generally just look really unflattering when soaked through. Try pairing a short or mid-length dress with some timeless Hunter rain boots that are a staple at all those UK festivals that are yearly inevitable mud fests.
