BBC Commentator Blasts L.A.'s "Money-Hating" Hippies

And so begins this hilarious BBC commentary on a love-in in L.A. that features the Steve Miller Band when they were The Miller Blues Band.

"The money-hating flower children are paradoxically, products of wealth. Self-indulgent hippies can only drop out because other people don't. Others stay behind to mind the store, pay their taxes, and run the world."

Is he talking about hippies, or hipsters?

They leave "only a trace of gentleness in their wake"? Hmmm. What about the stench of not having showered in anything but patchouli for the past two weeks?
