Here we are once again, with our servicey enterprise that's both informative and educational. A mix of genres awaits you at the jump as we go through awesome bands in M-Q playing SXSW official showcases.

Man Man is an experimental band originally from PA. Its members play the clavinet, flute, trumpet, sousaphone, saxophone, French horn, marimba, euphonium, drumset, Fender Jazz Bass, Danelectro Guitar, microKORG, xylophone and a series of many other percussive instruments; they also have a piano to make Viking-vaudeville, maniac Gypsy Jazz. Here is an interview with one of the men of Man Man. When: Saturday March 19 at 4:30 pm Where: Auditorium Shores Stage Info: All Ages MATTHEWDAVID Matthewdavid is a Brainfeeder DJ and beatmaker whose International EP mixes hip-hop and chillwave to make music both sensuous and jarring. Described both as a producer and "sound collage artist" Matthewdavid finds beauty in such unlikely sources as discarded cassettes and distorted vintage R&B instrumentals. When: Thursday March 16 at 10:10 pm Where: Mohawk Info: 21+ OFF!
Black Flag co-founder Keith Morris strikes again with OFF!, a collaboration with Dimitri Coats, Steven McDonald, Mario "Ruby Mars" Rubalcaba. So, yeah, it's safe to say that a band with alumni from Redd Kross, Rocket From the Crypt, and Burning Brides is an amazing hardcore punk band. Not for the faint of heart. When: Thursday March 17 at 10pm Where: Club de Ville Info: 21+ PEANUT BUTTER WOLF
Peanut Butter Wolf is a DJ, hip hop producer, and co-founder of Stones Throw. One of the finest live performers in California--and the country!--he mixes classic hip-hop and funk beats, often accompanied by vintage video projections that follow along with his turntablism. We dare you not to dance. When: Wednesday March 16 at 1 am Where: Kiss & Fly Info: 18+ QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE Rock band Queens of the Stone Age offers guitar-heavy, riff-driven, glam-infused hard rock. Hailing from the desert and fronted by Kyuss' singer/guitarist Josh Homme, the band has toured with such heavyweights as Hole, the Foo Fighters, and Smashing Pumpkins.
